November 24 street date. Out of print and lost to time since 2014, “Sierra’s Song” was originally issued on October 13, 2009, via the Beverly Hills 90210 soundtrack. In addition to THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS, the compilation also boasted a collaboration between ADELE and THE RACONTEURS, another one with N*E*R*D featuring SANTIGOLD, and plenty of exclusive tracks from other notables of the era. Chronologically, “Sierra’s Song” was recorded around the time of When The World Comes Down, AAR’s third studio album. In an abstract sense, the song is somewhat of a sonic bridge between certain ballad-centric compositions and arrangements explored on Move Along (“It Ends Tonight,” “Straightjacket Feeling”) and those later realized on When The World Comes Down (“The Wind Blows,” “Another Heart Calls”). To celebrate the 15th anniversary of When The World Comes Down and properly kick off the band’s first North American headlining tour in over a decade (starting August 11, 2023), Dark Operative is ecstatic to bring “Sierra’s Song” back from the beyond via a special full-color 7” picture disc flexi included with every single copy of the reissued LP. Individual standalone copies are also available for those who already own a copy of the LP and the song can once again be heard on any digital platform worldwide.
November 24 street date. When The World Comes Down is the third studio album from THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS. Originally released on December 16, 2008, the follow-up to 2005’s multi-platinum Move Along album propelled the band to newer, more dizzying heights, fueled by the breakaway success of the hit single “Gives You Hell,” the band’s highest-charting single in AAR’s storied career. 2023 marks the 15th anniversary of When The World Comes Down. To celebrate this milestone (and the launch of the band’s first North American headlining tour in over a decade), Dark Operative is proud to bring the record “home” (the original pressing was on Magic Bullet Records before the rebrand) via a proper reissue LP that includes the long out-of-print/lost-to-time rarity “Sierra’s Song” on an exclusive 7” picture disc flexi sealed into every copy. November 24 street date. Kids In The Street is the fourth studio album from THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS. Originally released on March 26, 2012, this album was the follow-up to 2008’s When The World Comes Down and an absolute cultural moment, fueled entirely by the breakaway success of the hit single “Gives You Hell,” the band’s highest-charting single in AAR’s storied career. Having already climbed to the most dizzying of heights in the pop/rock realm in the years and albums prior, Kids In The Street captures THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS amidst a more expansive period wherein various members had become wholly fluid in the fine arts of studio album creation, arrangements, and production. The result is the most lush, fascinating, and intricate program the band has ever put to tape—the type of record that artists make to reward active, engaged listeners—those who are still willing to slow their lives down enough to sit still and let everything happening in every nook and cranny of a well-crafted record to envelop the experience.
