To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Frank Black's landmark solo album, "Teenager Of The Year", 4AD present an exclusive, one-time vinyl pressing of the double LP, remastered for the first time from its original analogue studio tapes. Sounding as essential as the day it was released, the limited 30th anniversary edition is cut at 45 rpm for optimum playback, and pressed on double indie gold vinyl. The album also comes in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes by both Frank Black and producer Eric Drew Feldman. "Teenager Of The Year" came out in 1994, one year after his self-titled debut album. In a rich songwriting vein, the double album of 22 songs never drags, instead its now widely regarded as the defining statement of his solo career. Among the plaudits thrown its way was Pitchfork ranking it in their Top 100 Albums of the 90s, saying "beneath its veneer lie moments brilliant enough to rival any of the Pixies' 1990s work, and Black's greatest lyrical achievements".

Recorded in 2001, the recordings capture raw and captivating performances by Frank Black and The Catholics on songs including ‘California Bound’, ‘The End Of Miles’, and ‘Cold Heart Of Stone’. Previously only available as a bonus CD in ‘The Complete Recordings’ boxset, ‘True Blue’ is an essential release for Frank Black fans and offers a glimpse into a studio session with The Catholics. Pressed on 140g vinyl, newly remastered by Phil Kinrade and cut by Cicely Balston at AIR Mastering. Presented in a textured reverse board sleeve with new artwork by Mark Reynolds, and exclusive liner notes by producer Ben Mumphrey. Also included is a bonus 7" single featuring three studio outtakes, including a previously unreleased version of ‘The Black Rider’.

Raw garage punk energy, originally recorded direct to two-track tape. Intended initially as a series of demos, Black decided that they couldn't be improved upon and released them as they were.
