January 11 street date. Brian Auger's very first jazz piano album of his illustrious and award winning career marks a return to the instrument and the music that first entranced and enthralled him as a young boy. His musical journey, which began in austere post war London, and on which he absorbed so many varied styles of music, has indeed come full circle. Features tracks from a selection of Brian's musical influences, heroes and friends including 'Chelsea Bridge' by the great Billy Strayhorn, Freddie Hubbard's ever green 'Little Sunflower', the much loved standard 'There is No Greater Love' which Brian used to play in his original early 60's piano trio, and his own composition Victor's Delight which he wrote as a tribute to the great English Jazz musician Victor Feldman who he first encountered via his tenure with The Cannonball Adderley Quintet.

March 26 street date. In 1978, inspired by the Disco boom, and particularly the space age Disco records emanating from the continent, ex-Shadows drummer Brian Bennett recorded what he described as "A Journey Into Discoid Funk". Housed in a striking, colourful sleeve, "Voyage" was a departure for Bennett, serving up infectious, cosmic disco/jazz/funk with a nod towards his earlier, post-Shadows funky library work. Fast forward to the noughties, when DJs, crate diggers and hip-hop artists are busy sampling old funk and disco records, a new generation discovered "Voyage". Released with Brian's blessing and overseen by his musician/composer son Warren, this 2-CD edition of "Voyage" boasts the addition of previously unissued working mixes of the album, plus the rare 7" edits from the single ‘Pendulum Force’. Key track "Solstice" has been sampled by around 60 different artists, including Kanye West, Nas, and Madlib.
December 2 street date. Measured Mile is a new 7" label run by regular Ace consultant and confidante Bob Stanley. The plan is to release DJ-friendly 45s that are either very rare or previously unavailable on seven-inch. The first release pairs a couple of prime library tracks, from Brian Bennett - the slow, menacing groove he called ‘Name Of The Game’ - and Dave Richmond (aka the Melody Nelson bassist) whose grungy ‘Confunktion’ will be instantly recognised by anyone who remembers the late 70s Denim aftershave ad. Already lined up for the future are more library gems from Basil Kirchin and Alan Parker, plus a northern/girl group monster from Connie Stevens.

February 24 street date. As its name suggested, the intimate and sultry "Cuntry Covers Vol. 1" was always going to have a follow-up. Led by the brooding vocals of Bria Salmena, "Cuntry Covers Vol. 2" is every bit as potent as its predecessor, whose noir-inflected alternative country-rock stood in sharp contrast to the singer's commanding delivery as leader of post-punk revivalists Frigs. Debuting the project in 2021, the languid, reverb-drenched "Cuntry Covers Vol. 1" saw her artfully collaborating with multi-instrumentalist Duncan Hay Jennings and reimagining a carefully picked collection of Americana anthems. "Vol. 2" pushes the envelope further and harder. Encompassing feverish takes on tracks by Gillian Welch, Paula Cole, Mary Margaret O'Hara, Robert Lester Folsom, Glen Campbell - by way of Nick Cave - and Loretta Lynn, Bria's deliciously dark approach shimmers through these six startling songs.

December 10 street date. Bria is an intimate and incisive labour of love from multi-instrumentalists Bria Salmena and Duncan Hay Jennings, who have toured for years as members of Toronto four-piece FRIGS, whose 2018 debut "Basic Behaviour" was long-listed for the Polaris Music Prize. Making a mark in diverse genres from country to punk, both play as permanent members of Orville Peck’s band. Catapulted by a deep sense of dread and confusion in the depths of 2020, Salmena decided to forgo writing her own music. "I wanted to listen for what might reflect my life back to me", she says, "six tracks that could be my mirror". The result is a pointillistic knockout of an EP that weaves a landscape both luscious and a little rogue; showing us exactly what good songs can do. "Cuntry Covers Vol. 1" houses it all: well-worn favourites and lesser-known gems from Karen Dalton, John Cale, Waylon Jennings, The Walker Brothers, Lucinda Williams, and Mistress Mary. First vinyl pressing is on opaque light blue vinyl.
