Sept. 27 street date. Australia's premier punk band, FRENZAL RHOMB, have reunited with Fat Wreck Chords for the release their 8th full length album, 'Smoko At The Pet Food Factory'. Now, we non-Australians may be a little confused about what the album title means, but we definitely understand the fact that the music is the same balls-to-the-wall, clever, catchy punk rock that Frenzal Rhomb is famous for (think NOFX sung by Crocodile Dundee). The band has firmly established a controversial reputation over the years and the content on 'Smoko At The Pet Food Factory' is yet another rung on Frenzal's illustrious ladder. Sonically speaking, the 16 tracks on 'Smoko' are absolutely incredible - due in no small part to the fact that famed Descendents drummer Bill Stevenson both produced and recorded the album at the Blasting Room (Rise Against, NOFX, Flogging Molly, Train). With songs topics covering cockroaches, goths, racists, rapists, and Karl Alvarez , it's clear that Frenzal have not lost their knack for twisting even the most obscure subject matter into loud, addictively melodic punk rock.

April 7 street date. Vinyl street date is TBA. Back in the mire of the early 90s, from somewhere beneath a pile of wallet chains and cut-off army pants, Frenzal Rhomb emerged, their white suburban fingers clutching onto goon casks and bucket bongs and other appropriate paraphernalia. Before too long those fingers wrote riffs and those riffs became songs and their voices sung rhyming swear words in perfect three-part harmony. It's amazing that Frenzal Rhomb are here at all, but they are, and are back with their 10th studio album! "The Cup of Pestilence" is 19 songs full of the characters and slightly discomforting ideas that you've come to love from Frenzal Rhomb. The stories of good times, beloved friends and slightly less-friendly types, the tales of enlightenment through recreational substances, and some great budgetary ideas for a cash-strapped household, all under a serious number of hot riffs and licks, brilliant bass lines, and devastating drum bits sure to satiate each and every Frenzal Rhomb fan across the globe.
