November 25 street date. Seventh Dream Of Teenage Heaven was Love And Rockets darkly psychedelic debut album, and it was released by Beggars Banquet in 1985 and marked the beginning of a career that would span an impressive 14 years and 7 albums. This special release features a high definition 96 kHz / 24 bit surround mix created by Neil Wilkes from the analogue multi-tracks and also includes three additional bonus tracks from the original session including the Gold Certified single “Ball Of Confusion” and a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Lucifer Sam”. The original stereo masters, as used on the CD and vinyl, were digitally mixed on to F1 masters in 1985 at 44.1 kHz / 16 bit, so no high resolution analogue copies were created. For the Blu-ray release, Neil Wilkes has created a new HD stereo mix. The release has been approved by original producer John A. Rivers. This release is on a Pure Audio Blu-ray disc, meaning it can be played on a Blu-ray player like a CD, without the need for a navigational screen (though this is included). The audio streams are allocated to the color buttons on the remote control.
January 13 street date. Love And Rockets is the seminal, groundbreaking trio of Daniel Ash (vocals and guitar), David J (vocals and bass), and Kevin Haskins (drums). Formed after the split of their band Bauhaus, the 1986 sophomore album "Express" is a unique, mystical and transcendental travelogue of sorts. The original press release for the album said that "the balance of light and dark, positive and negative, yin and yang, is a recurring theme". In 2020, NPR, referring to the album, stated that their "psychedelic train ride laid the foundation for alt-rock". This is a single black LP with a standard sleeve, remastered by Sean McGee at Abbey Road Studios.

Formed in 1985 after the split of their band Bauhaus, their debut album "Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven" is an unashamedly psychedelic adventure, far removed from the dark, angular soundscapes of their previous group. Love And Rockets provided the trio a clean slate and an opportunity to plumb the depths of imagination, yet they still had to fight hard to avoid being branded "goth", citing Syd Barrett, Marc Bolan, and the later period Beatles as primary influences. They formed in 1985 after the first split of their band Bauhaus. Beggars Arkive continue the L&R reissue series with the Rick Rubin produced sixth album, "Sweet F.A.". After a fire at Rubin's mansion, where the band were living and working, they lost all of their gear (including the burnt guitar on the cover), some of the demo recordings, and nearly their lives as well. The resulting album was inspired by some of their earliest influences - The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Doors, Can. "Sweet F.A." spins tales of passion and loss, carried on a fluid, moody throb. Undulating, hypnotic rhythms twine around melancholy lyrics which examine life at a primal level, as ethereal electronic effects play counterpoint to earthquake reverberating guitars. This is a double LP with gatefold sleeve, expanded to include 4 tracks previously unheard outside of the Love And Rockets box set.
