June 25 street date. With time on his hands during the pandemic lockdown, roots music troubadour Ken Tizzard decided to create a new album comprising the fresh versions of cover songs he had worked up on his solo shows over the past decade. Little did Tizzard suspect that the originally modest concept would blossom into Ken Tizzard and Friends: All Together Now – an epic project involving some 44 guest musicians contributing parts from all over the continent. The novel creative process involved Ken recording a rough demo of the 13 tunes, vocal and acoustic guitar only, and sending that out to the volunteering musical guests, giving them complete freedom for the parts they would send in. The resulting collection of songs that is All Together Now is both varied and fresh, including covers of classics by Tears For Fears, REM, Neil Young, Bob dylan, Van Morrison, Slaid Cleaves, The Cure, Tom Petty, Billy Bragg, George Jones, The Boomtown Rats, John Lennon and The Clash. Musician guests contributing from the following bands: The Watchmen, Dave Gunning, Matt Mays, Nickelback, The Headstones, Hedley, Our Lady Peace, The Young Novelists, See Spot Run, Cold Creek County, Crash Karma, Big Wreck, My Darkest Days, Ron Hynes, Unspoken Tradition, Sean Panting, Lowest of the Low, Ian Foster and many more….
