March 24 street date. Is there a Crass-shaped hole in your life that's been empty since you wore out your copy of ‘Penis Envy’? An itch that only the purest of peace punk can scratch? Time for another prime dose of potent, chorus-drenched anarcho-punk from one of its finest modern exponents: A Culture Of Killing return with their third album, bigger and bolder than before with a foreboding sense of deathrock gloom dialled all the way up beyond 11. Their usual array of nods are all present and correct (The Mob, Zounds, The Cure), but this time everything feels - grander? More fully realised? Impressive, given their first two albums have been hoovered up and hailed by those in the know, but maybe we should banish any lingering doubts that the mysterious Italian band might be moving beyond merely echoing the classics and closer to creating a new benchmark for the genre. From new wave-styled Burundi beats and furious call-and-response vocals to dubbed-out grooves, there are new influences that are more than welcome in the band's sound, but the songs themselves are their finest thus far.
October 2 street date. "Self described, *Music for Introverts*. We call them *Introverted Punks*. Anthemic and noisy. Pop racket. American Culture is the music that we all grew up with as American wasteland kids. Music that got into our blood during those fragile and formative years. The soundtracks to when we first tried drugs, cut class, had sex, became who we are. Whenever that may have been. " - Chris Adolf (Excerpts from the American Culture Manifesto) American Culture is a phenomenon of music genius rooted deeply in the psyche of legendary Denver songwriter Chris Adolf. Chris has toured the underground house circuits and punk basements of the US many years over and now with American Culture he has turned his songrwriting and recording genius towards channeling all the sounds of a 90's American childhood. The Olympia Sessions was recorded in a breakneck session at Calvin Johnson’s / K Records infamous Dub Narcotic Studio in Olympia Washington. J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr later added shredding guitar solos. Part John Waters, part Jim Carroll, Chris and American culture ride the line that America has always closely drawn between outsider and pure pop culture. He lives out in the desert near four corners. There are no other bands there. No other references. American Culture can be seen live in various warehouses and punk spaces through out the desert west.
March 25 street date. Beat Culture is the moniker of producer and instrumentalist Sunik Kim. Kim was born in Hong Kong, grew up in Tokyo and continued on to high school in the United States. Currently a sophomore at Yale University, his exposure to a variety of cities has informed his eclectic sound, which often seems to be on the verge of unraveling, chaotic, and abrasive as much as it is streamlined and pop-minded. He began making music in 2011, not knowing where the project would go. A few months later, he sat down with a friend and came up with the name "Beat Culture," which has no meaning - instead, it keeps the music from getting boxed into any particular genre or movement.

Oct. 13 street date. 'Club Ninja' (originally released in 1985 and the band’s tenth studio album) saw the return of Blue Öyster Cult's co-creator and svengali producer, Sandy Pearlman. A pivotal album at the time due to the loss of original keyboardist Allen Lanier, 'Club Ninja' nevertheless features some of the best material in the band’s catalogue. Tracks such as ‘Dancin’ In The Ruins’, ‘When The War Comes Down’ (with intro. by U.S. shock jock, Howard Stern) and the sublime ‘Perfect Water’, display why BÖC are still regarded as one of the world’s premier Rock outfits.
March 5 street date. "Some Enchanted Evening" is the second live album by Blue Öyster Cult, and their best-selling album to date. The album's seven original tracks, including classics like "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and "Godzilla", were recorded at various locations in the United States and England. It captures the band at their arena rock peak, making it the ultimate Blue Öyster Cult record. The constant power of the guitar chords and the hard hitting drum rhythm marks the raw sound of the different tracks.
June 2 street date. Blue Öyster Cult began in 1967 as Soft White Underbelly with Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser on guitars, Allen Lanier on keyboards and Albert Bouchard on drums. Adding lead singer and guitarist Eric Bloom led to the name change of Oaxaca, then later the Stalk-Forrest Group, which issued one single. Joe Bouchard was added on bass and the group was signed to Columbia Records in 1971. Their first two albums, “Blue Oyster Cult” and ‘Tyranny and Mutation”, garnered some interest from rock critics, but it was third LP, “Secret Treaties”, which first broke them in to the top 100 LP charts. “Spectres” was released in 1975 and featured “Godzilla”, a concert favorite. In 1981 BOC was back on top with their “Fire Of Unknown Origin” album and a new top 40 hit in “Burnin’ For You”. “Veteran of the Psychic Wars” was featured in the movie “Heavy Metal”. This LP was recorded during the “Fire Of Unknown Origin” tour in New York, in 1981. This would be the last tour with Albert Bouchard who was replaced in late 1981. Here’s a chance to listen to BOC at their very best during their peak of popularity.
February 9 street date. This is one of the ultimate Hard Rock and Metal albums according to Metallica’s Lars Ulrich in Rolling Stone magazine (June 2017). “B.O.C. were just a little smarter compared to the other rock bands at the time”. With the disappointing commercial success for the first three studio albums this album, originally released as a ‘LIVE’ 2-LP in 1975, includes three songs from each studio LP: the self-titled “Blue Oyster Cult”, “Secret Treaties”, and “Tyranny & Mutation” and as closing track the Steppenwolf cover “Born To Be Wild”. “On Your Feet Or On Your Knees” reached number 22 on the Billboard 200, the band’s highest charting in the U.S.
April 14 street date. Secret Treaties is the third studio album by American rock band Blue Öyster Cult, released in 1974. It features the same band members and production team as their previous album Tyranny & Mutation, but also the only BÖC album that does not feature a track with lead vocals sung by guitarist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser. Lyrics to the lead-off track "Career of Evil" were written by future punk poet Patti Smith, a longtime contributor to the band (and, at the time, girlfriend of BÖC keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Allen Lanier). The album spent 14 weeks in the US album charts, peaking at No. 53. It was certified Gold by the RIAA. In 1975, a poll of readers of the British magazine Melody Maker voted Secret Treaties the "Top Rock Album of All Time". In 2010, Rhapsody called it one of the all-time best "proto-metal" albums. Secret Treaties is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on purple coloured vinyl and includes an insert.

The hit song is just one of the wonderful tunes on Blue Öyster Cult’s fifth album from 1976. The band called in the help of Patti Smith on 'The Revenge Of Vera Gemini', and delivered a high charting album (#29 on the Billboard 200 and 'The Reaper' made it to the twelfth spot on the singles Charts). This record rocks ‘n thunders, with a sensual boogie permeating these 10 great tracks.
