Band Of Rebels is a new solo album from the leader of punk legends D.O.A. and Canada’s godfather of punk, JOE SHITHEAD KEITHLEY. This 14 song album combines punk-a-billy, ska, punk and roots rock. It’s funny, political, upbeat, and incredibly energetic. The songs talk about smokin’ pot, troublemaking, Star Trek, revolution, and messing with corporations. When asked why he has recorded a solo album when D.O.A. is still going strong, Shithead had this to say: I got to stretch out and try new things, this is a different way to fight the system. Band Of Rebels is like an extension of D.O.A., musically it’s a little different, but it’s still nuts and it’s still meant to cause trouble and stir shit up!

The songs cover a wide range of emotions. There's timely political stuff which really hits the mark, and he also covers songs from his idols Johnny Cash, Leadbelly and Stompin' Tom Connors.
