November 22 street date. Big D & The Kids Table and The Doped Up Dollies join forces for this four track split. Big D's "Oi DJ" featuring The Doped Up Dollies and Maddie Ruthless is a floor stomping party that will wake up any dull room. Their next track is a cover of Hepcats' "Earthquake And Fire". Big D thrashes out and dubs up this rock steady hit and again is joined by the soothing vocals of The Doped Up Dollies. The Doped Up Dollies' tracks start with their northern-soul party anthem "Make Your Own Sunshine". Their next track "The Drum" is a trippy dubbed out ride of nursery rhymes and creative lyrical imagery.
March 26 street date. NON-RETURNABLE. From gentle Laurel Canyon folk rock to the honky-tonk heartache of classic country to winding jams, Runaway Freeway Blues is a beautiful ode to restless spirits and rambling hearts. Lush harmonies and instrumental virtuosity lift this record up on wings of uncommon grace and stunning vitality, and when songwriter Cruz Contreras and vocalist Trisha Gene Brady combine their voices, it calls to mind classic duets from times long gone by: George and Tammy, Gram and Emmylou, Johnny and June. "With one foot planted firmly in Appalachian music culture and the other always expanding and evolving, the Black Lillies have created a unique sound embraced by fans old and young." - Vanity Fair.
Sept .13 street date. The follow up to the BLOODY HOLLIES' highly praised 'Who To Trust, Who To Kill, Who To Love', which was released in 2007. Many who are familiar with the band's sound know them by their trademark murder themed blues/rock anthems that remind listeners of the 60s and 70s golden age of rock 'n' roll. The new album still embraces the macabre side of raw garage punk, but comes armed with a more eclectic array of songwriting and musicianship. But don't let the touches of organ, violin, and xylophone fool you, the band's hybrid of blues and rock 'n' roll continue to shine more impressively than ever. Promo copies available - ask your sales rep.

June 9 street date. Shadoks's third release by Finnish band Charlies following reissues of Buttocks (2013) and Musiikkia Elokuvasta Julisteiden Liimaajat (SHAD 163CD, 2014). Jail Sessions was recorded in 1969 and 1970 in Charlies's rehearsal room, a drunk tank at the local jail, made available to the band by Kari "Pitkä" Lehtinen's father, a local police officer. After Charlies finished the 1969 Julisteiden Liimaajat album, they never thought the final product sounded right, though it received a lot of positive feedback. Pitkä (bass) and Eero (guitars) spent a lot of time considering how to deliver a harder-sounding album as a follow-up, representing the true Charlies spirit. They got the chance to make a new album, one that would be released by the famous Love Records label. That album, Buttocks, also gained a good reputation, but the result was only as good as its budget. In the end, the band was never content with it. One night Pitkä said, "Eero, we should have made our album from your tapes, the result would have been much different." Jail Sessions is those tapes. Much heavier in sound, with amazing electric guitar and 100% pure heavy underground sound. Includes alternative versions of songs from Buttocks as well as previously unknown songs.
August 5 street date. One of the most influential bands from Finland are Charlies. They recorded their second album Buttocks in 1970 and also that same year, this first album. Shadoks has included six bonus tracks on this release, including their rare single from 1969. The album was recorded for an underground movie of the same title, and Charlies had full artistic freedom to create psychedelic songs and effects. Their song "Sunshine Supergirl" is a good example of classic work by this amazing underground band, featuring great guitar riffs by Eero Ravi. The original LP was pressed only a few hundred times and is a very rare collector's item today. What a great band and what a great guitar player. Dave Lindholm wrote: "Charlies was the first big Finnish rock band for me. They played loud & rough. They looked like men, not popstars. They played the music I love. Could I ask for more? Well, I didn't!"
September 28 street date. In the beginning, there was South Auckland's own Coolies, three teenage school chums Tina, Sjionel and Melissa, playing the kind of racket that might have caused Johnny Rotten himself to spin in his grave, had he actually been dead (might as well have been). Back then in the mid/late-'90s, the Coolies' punk/rock'n'roll/was inspired, it must be pointed out, by nobody... nobody at all. Nonetheless, their signature was a sweet and swinging rahrah sound (a rah-Ramones/rah-Ronettes car-crash), new/old attitude to music/underground noise staple/post-punk/oioioi like a Shangri-Las and Crass tea party. "Master" is a collection of Coolies at their finest -- raw, lo-fi, annoying, brilliant, monumental, and totally necessary. An accumulation of material recorded and mixed by Stefan Neville reel-to-reel at random places around Auckland....mastered by Rachel Shearer (Lovely Midget) and loved by all.

October 16 street date. "The Coolies have been blurting out random batches of high order avant garage spew since 1997. Sjionel Timu and Tina Pihema are the core of the band. Formed in the sprawl of South Auckland while they were still teens, the Coolies were ostensibly a 'punk' unit, but their sound was never doctrinaire. Through sheer weirdness and strength of vision, they created music that paralleled aspects of underground noise from the forests of Olympia Washington, the squats of West London, and the basements of Dunedin. Without resorting to formal revisionism, they've managed to take the basics of the early Rough Trade sound and smudge it with fingers dipped in the art-readymades of NZ's underground pop groups and their own fevered experimentalism. For a good chunk of the last decade, Stefan Neville (aka Pumice) was their drummer. This line-up cut a great LP, Master, for Chapter Music, and an even more dastardly EP, Punk Is Bread, for Epic Sweep. Now, we are delighted to present their third album, Kaka, gruntily produced by Neville. The tunes on Kaka (the title refers to either Maori slang for 'shit,' or the name of an indigenous NZ parrot, depending on how you ask) were recorded in a couple of long jam sessions, then teased and smooshed into 'shape' over the course of a year or so. The results are both propulsively fetching and utterly fried. We've been listening to this one incessantly. So will you." -Byron Coley, 2015. Limited edition of 400.

October 5 street date. First incursion of Tom Demac on Kompakt, White Flowers sees the British producer joining forces with London's Real Lies. The three cuts on White Flowers ooze a fine alloy of quick-consumed ecstasy, fresh heartbreak and shivery consolation. The lead-track essays forth into deep, string-laden minimal techno terrains as the languid voice of Kev Kharas adds another dimension to the instrumental picture. Pushing into a breaks-heavy, more openly club-ready direction, Demac's "Felix" further emphasizes the groove with a rousing blend of 303 bass and synth-y glitter, before the ambient version of "White Flowers" provides a plain melancholic note.
April 12 street date. n order to talk about the upcoming album "The Hunter And The Prey" we need to take a look back at the previous album "First World Breakdown". Not only the album title itself, but also songs like "Wipe Out Yourselves" clearly hinted at the end of the world as we know it. "The Hunter And The Prey" takes place a few years later, in 2079 to be precise. The war over resources is over, but only a few parts of the earth are still inhabitable due to the nuclear rain, and the last remaining men and women are roaming around split up in small groups in search of non-contaminated water in food. We, the DYING GORGEOUS LIES, are the right hand and advisors of John, leader of the Wasteland Clan. You've probably already met John in one of our video teasers for the new album. "The Hunter And The Prey" is the prelude of an epic end time story, which will also be brought to the stage, when we play live. We are the Wasteland Clan! Always remember, never forget! DYING GORGEOUS LIES keeps on evolving, and you can clearly notice this on the new album.
November 11 street date. Welcome to Retropolis ! Known for the inimitable Can't Stop with Coloray , an unhealthy obsession with vintage music machines, a baroque style in the use of synthesizer melodies and a forewarn-looking approach to the past, Chris Barratt 's music as Eagles & Butterflies can be as fun-loving as melancholically beautiful. For his long overdue debut on Running Back, the English man dishes out a bit of both in a healthy bowl of broth. In summary: made with lots of synthesizers and for fans of keyboard music. And always keep in mind: the future sounds and looks better than you think.
March 11 street date. Since emerging half-formed from the wreckage of an art project gone wrong, London trio flies+flies have been carving out a unique form of experimental rock music, combining electronics, strings, guitar and voice to create distinctly dark and deeply melodic pockets of space. Writing together live as a band and drawing influence from the aesthetic worlds of Stanley Kubrick, TS Elliot and Isa Genzken, their brooding sound occupies a smoky hinterland between the warm comedown glow of Mogwai, Jeff Buckley’s reflective late-night hymnals, the apocalyptic transmissions of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and the spare, sputtering 808 patterns of early Hessle Audio records. Quietly restrained vocals fight against turntable-manipulated noise and rhythm, electro-cello drone and reverberated waves of guitar. Following a steady stream of packed live shows (from the suitably claustrophobic setting of a disused East London dentist’s surgery to the main stage of Bristol’s Arc festival), the trio retreated to the studio to begin working on their debut release. The result, Bad Crab Hand, is a perfect embodiment of the flies+flies aesthetic, its sparse textures and sonic pregnancy combining to form an entrancing and mysterious doomsday reverie; the band have dubbed it "rhizomatic pop".
